Who Really owns the photos?
We retain the copyright to the images unless special arraingments are made and additional licensing fees are paid. Our package prices do NOT include anything more than MLS usage licensing, and for related social media. The Agent/Client will have the rights to reprint all images furnished in unlimited media (print, web, video, e-mail) to market the property until the property closes or the agent no longer has the listing. After that period, images must be relicensed or a new shoot ordered. To be very clear, only the original client is licensed to use the images, and that license is non-transferable. If the client is a home owner and later decides to hire an agent, that agent would need to re-license the images for them to use them. Agents may not transfer the license of images to another listing agent without relicense fees.
What is our reschedule and cancellation policy?
Things come up and we realize that no one can control any situation. If a cancellation is needed please contact us within 24 hours prior to the photoshoot appointment. In the event a cancellation is required please note that Dwell Imaging now issues a credit in the amount of the cancelled photoshoot to be used toward a future appointment. Instructions on how to claim that credit will automatically be emailed upon cancellation. Rescheduling. There are several scenarios where rescheduling appointments are needed and we understand that. Please make every effort to contact us within 24 hours of the photoshoot appointment to reschedule. Rescheduled appointmets come on a first come, first available basis. If a reschedule is made due to weather please be advised we will make every effort to reschedule as quickly as possible. All weather relatated rescheduling will be at the sole discretion of Dwell Imaging. If in the event that the weather is inclement on the day of your shoot Dwell will reschedule the intire appointment. With inclement weather we cannot accomodate shooting parts of an appointment such as interiors of a property and shoot exteriors of a property on a return trip at a later date. In the unlikely chance that an appointment needs to be rescheduled once the photographer arrives due to either the home owner/occupant is not prepared and ready for the appointment and or there is not a way to gain access to the property a fee of $75 will be charged, plus any applicable trip fees.
How long will the shoot take?
It depends on the size of the home, but generally plan for the photography session to take around 45 minutes. Smaller homes take less time, usually around 30 minutes, while larger homes (larger than 2500 square feet) take around an hour or longer. Why does it take so long? We use a series of flashes carefully placed around each space to ensure the entire home is displayed as beautifully as possible. Because of this, some homes can be more challenging than others. A good rule of thumb is to plan for about 30 minutes of photography time for each 2000 square feet.
When will finished photos be delivered?
Photos will be delivered within 48 hours (2 business days). Dwell uses professional post production techniques for every image delivered and that means at times it can take just a little bit longer to retouch. However, there are plenty of times were photos are ready for delivery within 24 hours.
How do I book a shoot?
Easy. To schedule a shoot, simply go here to book. Follow the step by step directions in our on-demand ordering system. This system allows you to pick an appointment type, add other services, enter important information about the property and see a live calender of available appointment times. This can even be done directly from your mobile phone without ever having to get in touch with us. Some agents even will book an appointment while signing listing docs right at the listing. You will be added to the calendar as soon as the appointment is booked and a conformation email will be sent directly to you. Please save this email. Through this email you can edit your appointment, reschedule and canel if needed.
